We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

2. What we collect

• Account details: name, email, phone, username and profile photo.
• Verification documents: ID, live selfie, proof of address and tax details.
• Banking details for payouts (stored encrypted; only the last 4 digits are displayed).
• Buyer lead details submitted by associates, and sale records submitted by agencies.
• Payment records. Card details are handled by Paystack and never stored by PropColony.

3. Why we use it

• To verify identities and prevent fraud.
• To attribute leads and calculate settlements.
• To process payments and payouts.
• To send account and transaction notifications.

4. Sharing

We share information only with Paystack (payment processing and payouts), our secure hosting providers, the agency or associate involved in a transaction where needed, and authorities when required by law. We do not sell personal information.

5. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, sensitive banking details are encrypted at rest, and access is restricted by role.

6. Retention

We keep transaction and verification records for as long as required by South African tax and financial law (generally 5 years), then delete or anonymise them.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or object to processing, by emailing us. You may also delete your account from your profile. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
